LEGO U.F.O. Cyborg Scout Review for MF0

This post is dedicated to my mother who Departed earlier this year to Fight Evil in Other Dimension

The Box
So as I was sent the last of my childhood LEGO I found one little box from the past that was never open. I can't remember why it wasn't, maybe it was because I had it already because I very much remember putting this set together once; not sure how though.

The Flyer for all those Old Sets
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Yes, sort of, I made a frigate class ship that I like but it also kind of sad so I will go with 0 points.

Digging the lack of symmetry.

One Weapon System and One Yellow System
I really dig these wheels for engines but be better if I could mount it the other way.
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?

Using the power of the internet here: $3.00 / 36 pieces = $0.08 per part but that was in my teens. Most likely a $3.99 or $4.99 set these days. +5 points. (Finding it now is almost $7).

Parts 1
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Yes, +5 points.

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

But this is a no for -5 points.

The Set
Total: A B+ set from this blast in the past, if you use original pricing.

  1. I'd be interested to know if the grade would change if you used the original pricing (as you did above) but compensated for inflation.

    1. Well pushing it to the more common now price of $3.99 or $4.99 would push it out of the Golden Ratio.
