LEGO Star Wars Microfighter X-Wing Fighter Review for MF0

System

by Mantis King, this is what he looks like: here. I swear!

The Box
So friends, this is our last set for this adventure! Again, like the TIE Interceptor I found myself a bit disappointed with this set.

Wide Stance?
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I made this frame here though it looks more like a beacon chicken or something...I don't know. It isn't great but if I can make a passable Hi-Legs thing (No real hard points though) then certainly some one with more talent then myself should be able to make something much better. +5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? ($0.10 per part in box)

$9.99/97 = $0.10 per part breaking even for 0 points!

Parts 2
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This is a yes of course, +5 points

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This is where we get the wheat from the shaft and despite the fact I built a frame from this set I don't think there is much wheat but I am looking forward to trying the R2 head on a frame build. Minus 5

X-Wing or Last Starfighter?
Total: We have a total of 5 points giving us a grade of B+, not the best out of the Microfighter sets but not a bad score over all. Again though there is another aspect I don't like with this set.

I don't see an X-Wing so much as the ship from Last Starfighter, and also again like the TIE Interceptor I don't think the design out of the box is worth much for Intercept Orbit.

Again awkward looking next to the Capital Standard in my opinion though I do like the engines over all; should of gotten a back picture. Maybe someone can try them in a different design...or I can...hmmm.
