Mega Bloks Speedy Racecar Review for MF0

Review System by Mantis King. He doesn't bite...I think...

The Bag
Well here it is, the fourth and last of the Mega Bloks that I found at my Target's Spot section. Would have put this out with the rest of the Microfighter week but was having some tech issues. Was glad I could at least finish Star Wars Microfighter week properly unlike Chima Week though that was all me. Alright, lets hit the track onto this review!

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I tried to crank out a frame but I could not but I made a ship. I like it but not sure how it would fit into Intercept Orbit. Plus 5 points! Not sure how scale the car is as it seems a bit tall for a 'indy racer' next to a Chub.

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 cents per part)

*Pushes up glasses* Well, if you take the value of the package which is $3 and divide that by the number of the parts in the package which is 32. This yields a result of 9 cents per part which qualifies for under the 'Golden Ratio' which grants this question 5 points.

Parts 1
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This is certainly a yes of course. + 5 points

Parts Focus
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Another on the line set but I will say no but close giving us -5 points.

Escort?
Total: So our total is 15 points giving us an A if you have been following along at home kids! Decent set but of course it has wheels/tires which some frown on might not a bad thing for some Intercept Orbit concepts.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighter X-Wing Fighter Review for MF0

System

by Mantis King, this is what he looks like: here. I swear!

The Box
So friends, this is our last set for this adventure! Again, like the TIE Interceptor I found myself a bit disappointed with this set.

Wide Stance?
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I made this frame here though it looks more like a beacon chicken or something...I don't know. It isn't great but if I can make a passable Hi-Legs thing (No real hard points though) then certainly some one with more talent then myself should be able to make something much better. +5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? ($0.10 per part in box)

$9.99/97 = $0.10 per part breaking even for 0 points!

Parts 2
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This is a yes of course, +5 points

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This is where we get the wheat from the shaft and despite the fact I built a frame from this set I don't think there is much wheat but I am looking forward to trying the R2 head on a frame build. Minus 5

X-Wing or Last Starfighter?
Total: We have a total of 5 points giving us a grade of B+, not the best out of the Microfighter sets but not a bad score over all. Again though there is another aspect I don't like with this set.

I don't see an X-Wing so much as the ship from Last Starfighter, and also again like the TIE Interceptor I don't think the design out of the box is worth much for Intercept Orbit.

Again awkward looking next to the Capital Standard in my opinion though I do like the engines over all; should of gotten a back picture. Maybe someone can try them in a different design...or I can...hmmm.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Star Destroyer Review for MF0

Nemesis. This is what I 'stole'.

The Box
I was also kind of excited for this set as well so let's get right to it and see how this set breaks down!

Another build  I am sort of proud off.
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Here I got a frame out of this set. I am proud of this build but not as much as the one from the previous review. I think the arms are rather creative. +5 and I think the actual build of the spaceship can make use in Intercept Orbit but more about that later.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 cents per part)

Like the rest of the Microfighter sets this one is $9.99 with 97 parts! That breaks down to just 10 cents per park breaking us even for Zero points which is better then a minus!

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame or spaceship right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Given I built a frame this is most certainly a yes. Some nice terrain or station might be able to come out of this set as well. +5 points

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Again this is practically an automatic yes. +5 points

Total: The ground total of points is 15 for a A level set. Of course you might be able to use this set as is or mostly as is just needing some bricks to fill the whole from the 'cockpit'.

Capital Grade?
The bridge could be Sensor Tower and the missiles weapon systems of some kind.

With the right LEGO(s) that front tip can be a catapult...

I like how they handled the engines with this model

LEGO Star Wars Microfighter TIE Interceptor Review for MFZ

The Force; The Jedi. Yes that makes the Sith or the Empire or something something dark side...

The Box
So starting with this set, TIE Interceptor, I start getting a little less excited. Shall we find out why?

Blocky Legs
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I made this stout little frame with block legs; maybe even with a weapon and spot system! Even an interesting little spaceship below though it says HVA +5 points!

Want to race?!
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 cents per part)

$9.99/92 = 11 cents per part pushing over the golden ratio for -10 points (ouch).

Parts 1
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Certainly several parts in here for making a variety style of frames. +5 points

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This set is heavy on plates but over all I think the number of useful parts over counts the not as useful making this a yes, +5 points.

Parts 3
Total: We have a total of 5 points giving us a B+ rating, not bad giving our over part price is only 11 cents. If you can buy it at even the most minimum discount you will up the rating!

Part Focus
Now my disappointment didn't come from the set being used to build something for MF0 or IO but it lack of ability to use the Build from the Box.

Pew Pew!
I don't like the look of it at all. Sure, I easy see TIE Interceptor but it just looks like...a Chibi gone wrong or something.

On your Right!
Next to the Capital Standard it just looks awkward.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighter Millennium Falcon Review for MF0

The System, The Guy behind it.

The Box
What the Hell is an Aluminum Falcon? With this when we start getting into the actual spaceship Microfighters. I thought about doing a Giveaway with this one but the stars did not align right for that to happen this time; sorry folks.

From the looks box image I was excited for this set for Intercept Orbit (Almost put Zero instead of Orbit) and I ended up pretty happy over all with this. Let's get into it so I can explain.

2R6d Railgun, 1Y6 Senor Array

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I made a frame that I am really proud of. I like the way I look but was limited on arming it but still a nice base to put more systems on. Of course the set makes a nice spaceship I think could easily fit into Intercept Zero! +5 points!

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)

Like all the Microfighters the set is $9.99. This one contains 94 pieces so just let me pull out the calculator to find that it is 11 cents per part. Not over to bad but over enough to give this a value of -10 points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Yes, several good parts in this set! Another +5 for this set! In fact there is some new bricks in here that are very interesting.

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

I think this is a pretty easy yes. +5 Points

Part Focus
Total: Our total is 5 points giving us a B+ mostly from being above the Golden ratio but only by a penny and being a small box set it isn't that bad.

Give it a proper base and a brick to fill the whole and I think you have a proper Frigate for Intercept Orbit. The dish can be a Yellow System and the guns on top some kind of double Red System?

This might sound weird but I really like the way the engines or at least their output are done here, might try to replicate it with future ships. I thought I had a picture but guess not.

Quick, into the Asteroid Field!
Pew Pew
I think it is a decent look with the pistol and the Chub, Split System Melee/Direct?

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Clone Turbo Tank Review for MF0

Obligatory statement; Original Review System by Mantis King

The Box - This is what you look for if you want to buy it...
Next for Star Wars Microfighters Week we have the Clone Turbo Tank; no spaceships yet but we will get there folks!

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I shook this box around trying to get something out of it...and failed. Spaceship, Robot...nothing, not even a station. Minus Five points.

Parts 1

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (Ten Cents Per Part)

$9.99 divide by 96 parts equals 10 cents per part! Wow, just one more part then the last set and allows us to break even for zero points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

There are certainly good parts in this set to build something but just not the right magic to bring them together; Plus Five!

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Um...yes, I think there is over all. Sure we have some interesting places and several but also a lot of other good parts for any kind of build are here but a lot of grey though. Plus Five Points.

Total: We have a total of 5 Points giving us another B+ which odd from a set I couldn't get a build out of it but still feels right.

Above we see a Chub with the stormtrooper's blaster and seems a decent fit but not great. Tank is a bit long to use in scale and over all I really don't like the look of it anyways.
