LEGO Rapunzel's Market Visit Review for MF0

The Bag
So I picked this one up at Five Below because I saw some potential and the Spousal Equivalent wanted a Rapunzel to go with her Merida.

A frame! No weapons systems though...
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Yes, I got this frame above but couldn't figure out any systems for it and a turret below. +5 points. Remember the turret rules I came up with, you can check them out here if you like.

Open Fire with Flowery Death!
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (I don't even know what your talking about)

So the LEGO online store has it for $4.99 but I am pretty sure I paid $3.99 at Five Below so another split!

$4.99 / 37 parts = $0.14 cents per part. -10
$3.99 / 37 parts = $0.11 cents per part, so close! -10 also.

Parts 1
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Sure does buddy, +5 points

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

We meet once more, the hardest of all questions to answer! Though given I made two things out of this (not at the same time) I will say yes, but it is close. +5

The Set - Flower or Pastry for your pretty partner?
Total: A B+ set though I would say B if you buy it at the LEGO Store Price, pennies add up. Have a nice day!

Mega Bloks Halo Micro-Fleet Mantis Review for MF0

The Box
Most likely the one you all have been waiting for! (which is why it was the last one because I am an Ahole!). Let's shake this down.

Parts 1
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

It makes a frame on it's own but only that frame but also a cool station thing or if you want to play with my turret rules you can certainly use it for that! +5

Parts 2
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (Not holding your hand this time)

$14.99 / 80 = 19 cents per part! Not the worse but...not that great either -10 points.

The Set

If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Plenty of parts for people to play with. +5

Blu is has tall as the crotch guard...

Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Yes, absolutely. +5

Total: B+ making it and the Warthog a tie.Though it is frame in a head, I don't really like it and I think you have to mod it if you want to get a good system load out on it which might prove hard to do maybe? I love to see what some people would do with the parts though!

Mega Blocks Halo Micro-fleet Falcon Review for MF0

The Box
I like the blue and that is about it...

If you gaze into the visor they say you can see your future...
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well again I couldn't think of my own creation and I suppose you could use the Falcon as a frame or mod into a small spaceship but I think the scale is slightly off and the turret seems rather small for frames like it should be on a spaceship or something. I am going to be nice hear and give a 0.

Parts, like the rifle and STOP FLIPPING MY PHOTOS BLOGGER
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (What is it class?)

$14.99 / 70 = 21 CENTS, OH GAWD!!!! It burns... -10 (I need a bigger negative)

The Set, I could have done a better photo...nice diorama...
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

A lot of neat and interesting parts for frame building but nothing to build a frame or whatever.  +5

It So Tiny, I feel like this thing should be bigger then the Hornet.
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Yes, but it itself is only a handful set. +5

Total: The points gives us a B but the price is so hard I want to knock it to a B-.

Mega Bloks Halo Micro-Fleet Hornet Review for MF0

The Box
All these Helmet heads are storage containers and can hold all the parts they come with, even assembled as their set.

Parts 1 - Don't know why blogger wants to flip my part images...
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I got nothing but the purple thing could easily make a great station and the hornet is certainly in scaleish but not sure what you could do with it. Maybe put it in Intercept Orbit? We will give it a 0.

Parts 2 - Clear pieces!
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 cents per piece)

$14.99 / 19 cents per piece! -10, minus 10 now!

The Set - makes a nice looking diorama
If you can't build a something right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This I think so, certainly some interesting ones that would make some cool builds if only in the looks department. +5

Close Up -Trying to take a Selfie...
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This is where I say No. -5 points

Total: Here we have a C+, honestly earned all around. I like the hornet but pricey and not sure what to do with it besides put it on my wall of geek.

Mega Bloks Halo Micro-Fleet Warthog Review for MF0

The Box
At the time of this post stores have been putting these on clearance or in sales. Looks like a good size for 7p so let's check it out. Though, why do they call it Warthog?

The Head - Also a container

The Base is the Back of the Head

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

So I couldn't get a frame or a spaceship out of this but the Warthog itself is nice. It pretty much fits the scale but I am not sure it it is tall enough for cover but if one wanted it could be fielded as is (1G, 2Ra+R8a). Also the extra bit using the orange piece could be put on a 4x4 plate and become a neat station. I am going to go with 5 because we have a station and something that could be fielded in the game using the frame rules.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 cents per part)

$14.99 / 93 = 16 cents per part. Ouch -10

Parts 2 - Two of the Cheese Slopes are Taller with Sharper Angels
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Many useful and interesting parts that you don't find in LEGO sets. +5

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

So this is a hard one, we have a lot of plates but then again we have a lot of other parts I can see in a build but not enough or the right kinds to inspire some kind of frame or a spaceship (out of me at least). I am going with 'handful' and giving a plus 5.

The Set, Blue isn't attached.
Total: We have a B+, mind you almost a B set but it very neat.

The Warthog

LEGO City Swamp Police Helicopter Review for MF0

The Bag
So this is Target's 'Boy' Valentine LEGO, there is also one for 'Girls' which is a sad Friends polybag.

The Frame...Not Sure About it...
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I got a little frame that most likely is more 4p and a little space ship that is more HVA then say a frigate for Intercept Orbit. +5 points

The Spaceship
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (10 Cents per Part)

$3.99/51 parts = 8 cents per part going under the golden ratio! +5

Parts 1
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Certainly some usable parts in this sets, and some interesting ones that people might be able to get creavtive with. +5

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

In the middle on this one given the part count to useful pieces. I am going to go with yes because I think the big yellow pieces could be useful in Intercept Orbit builds. +5

Parts 3
Total: So we have an A+ but I will it is close call to an A and most likely better for Intercept Orbit so take that as you will. Though it might be a good start to the inside of a cockpit in Minifig scale?

My Army Box for Mobile Frame Zero

On the day of this post I am gearing up to run a demo for a Convention Game Director. This forces me to actually load up my army box that I purchased for transporting my MF0 stuff. Shall we check it out? I picked up a Creative Options Grab & Go Large Rack for $35 (usually $70) from Joann's during their New Year 50% Off Storage they seem to have every year. It is currently loaded for me to do said demo. For a bit more detail of the contents of this box check out this post. Down the line I want to slap the Dark Cloud Logo on the front of this thing.

Here is the Front with a minifig for scale Ref. Bad Angle though.
Front Panel Opens to the Rack
Bottom Rack - Dice, Ruler, Book, Tape
Middle Rack - My Demo Teams
Top Rack - Station - Wind Turbine Generator
Bulk Storage Top - Cover Pieces, Extras

LEGO TMNT Mikey's Mini-Shellraiser Review for MF0

The Bag
I picked this up from TRU but at the time it was the last one there.
The Frame
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I got a frame out of this but took some thinking out of the box. I am certain one could squeeze a station or maybe a small spacecraft out of it. +5 points

Parts 1 (waiting for my Chinese food)

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (FYI, 10 cents per part)

$4.99/47=$0.11 per part giving us -10 but not bad for only 11 cents. I blame TRU Tax.

Parts 2 (Mikey! I challenge someone to use the shell)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Certainly some common and useful parts in this set. +5

Parts 3 (Still waiting for my order)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

I think this is certainly a yes. +5

The set (Yes, it is bigger then Mikey)
Total: An B+ set due to being a penny over part per cost otherwise could of been better set. Not my best frame but took some creativity to get it done so I like that part a lot.

Comparison
If you wanted to field it/make it a station
