LEGO Spider-man's Mini Spider Crawler 30451 Review for MF0

The Bag
Picked this up at Target in the Holiday section along with several others; behold LEGO posts from DCB! Is it still October? Who is haunting this once noble spaces? Alright let's get into the review.

Web Baller Frame

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I built this little quad frame, surprised this set didn't include the circle plate with bars but seems the good new padlocks make them a bit unneeded if designed right. +5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$3.99 / 73 = $0.05 per part! Very good deal indeed. +5 points

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

The shear number of padlocks at the price point make this set worth it but the parts do lean toward quad or other such frames then the classic humanoids though. +5 points.

The Minifig
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Another easy yes for +5 points.

The Build
Total: This is an easy A+ set just for the padlocks, the planned out build could easily become a frame itself with some other parts, almost a 'frame in a bag' but not quite there. Either way it be hard to pass up this set.

LEGO The Batman Movie The Joker Battle Training 30523 Set Review for MF0

The Bag
Found this one at Walmart in a yellow display for LEGO The Batman Movie (FYI: It was as great movie!) merchandise.

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

No custom builds out of this set for -5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?

$3.99 / 49 = $0.08 cents, not bad for +5 points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

There are a few usable parts in the bag. +5 points.

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This one is a no giving it -5 more points.

The Set
Total: We have a B rated set; unless there is a specific part in this bag you want I would just avoid getting this polybag.

LEGO Creator Tiger Review for MF0

The Bag
I picked this cute little guy from TRU the other day and frankly I got a little excited. I think you will figure out why as we do our review.

The Frame -Le Tiger
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I made this stumpy little frame above, not the best but sort of cute! +5 points

For Comparison
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$3.99 / 73 = $0.05 per part! WOW, that is half of the ratio! Can I give it bonus points? +5 points.

Parts 1 - So do you like oranges and cheese?
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

We certainly have some regulars  in this set. +5 points.

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Got some good pieces, got some bad but I think we got more good giving this another +5 points. Perfect score?

"roar"
Total: A+ perfect score! Hard to beat that 5 cent cost per piece and the tiger could be a small jump to a frame all by itself. A pretty good polybag but not 'Frame in the Bag' status. Happy New Years.

LEGO Bricktober Toys R Us Store Review for MF0

The Box
So here we are, the last of this years Bricktober sets. We have ourselves a Toys R Us store! How meta. Well, let's crack this open.

Stickers
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I couldn't get anything out of this set except for the set itself. Of course this set along with its sister sets can be used as is for smaller scale game or to make your 7p frames look bigger. 0 points.

Parts 1 - Plates and Bricks
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$19.99 / 165 parts = $0.12 per parts. Certainly above the ratio and the worse out of all of this year's Bricktober sets. -10 points

Parts 2 - More Plates
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This set does have some useful parts for building frames or ships. +5 points.

Parts 3 - Plates...
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

but doesn't have enough useful parts for me to give it the green light here. -5 points.

The Set
Total: C+ set, the saddest one while the rest weren't too bad. Like that micro truck though.

LEGO City Space Utility Vehicle Review for MF0

The Bag
I picked this up at my local Target and still see it around. Doesn't look to exciting but let's get started.

Comm Station
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I built a quick and simple Comm Station but hard press to do much else. +5 points

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$3.99 / 39 = $0.10 right on the nose for 0 points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Several useful or common parts for +5 points.

The Set
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Again, the most tricky question. I am going to say yes but just not the right parts to get a frame. +5 points.

Total: Rather limited A set by points so maybe more A-? Had fun with it though.

LEGO Chima IceKlaw's Bear Mech

The Bag
So I picked up this bad buy up at TRU but I have been hearing of reports of it appearing at other locations so keep your eye open for this one!

Parts 1
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I made a little frame that looks like it hops or hovers around but I think it more 4p scale. +5

Parts 2
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?

$3.99/39 = $0.10 per part, a very rare break even! ZERO points but nothing loss either!

Jumper Side by Side
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This is a big yes, this is the first set I can thing of that has had the claws used in Chub Arms. Also some good gun pieces for Intercept Zero. I really like these clear blue pieces in this set. +5 points.

Jumper d6Rd d6Rd d6B Image Image
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Most certainly, just about the entire bag are useful parts of some level. +5 points.

The Set Side by Side
Total: So we have an 8 set which is almost a frame in a bag really. With just a few more bricks to fill up the core you could have a nice melee frame ready to go to tear up your enemies!

LEGO Rapunzel's Market Visit Review for MF0

The Bag
So I picked this one up at Five Below because I saw some potential and the Spousal Equivalent wanted a Rapunzel to go with her Merida.

A frame! No weapons systems though...
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Yes, I got this frame above but couldn't figure out any systems for it and a turret below. +5 points. Remember the turret rules I came up with, you can check them out here if you like.

Open Fire with Flowery Death!
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? (I don't even know what your talking about)

So the LEGO online store has it for $4.99 but I am pretty sure I paid $3.99 at Five Below so another split!

$4.99 / 37 parts = $0.14 cents per part. -10
$3.99 / 37 parts = $0.11 cents per part, so close! -10 also.

Parts 1
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Sure does buddy, +5 points

Parts 2
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

We meet once more, the hardest of all questions to answer! Though given I made two things out of this (not at the same time) I will say yes, but it is close. +5

The Set - Flower or Pastry for your pretty partner?
Total: A B+ set though I would say B if you buy it at the LEGO Store Price, pennies add up. Have a nice day!

Joshua, MF0: Rapid Delivery?
