LEGO Juniors Fire Car 30338 Set Review for MF0

The Bag
This is another Barnes and Noble find for me but these year so far polybags have been showing up across stores and promotions so just give it time maybe?

Parts 1 - Tree!
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I was not able to for -5 points but you do get a nifty little tree! I love these things for flash cover and yes, it is 3 bricks tall.

Parts 3
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$3.95 / $0.12, ouch. Usually you only get this with Friends/Princess polybags. -5 points.

B&N's price has me...ify? I mean I have a feeling else where it might be rounded up to a full .99 or be even more pricey. Just have to see.

Parts 3 - I wonder if I can make a Fire and Rescue Frame Company...
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This is true between the taps and the 1x2 plate with bar for +5 points.

The Set
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

This is sadly a no and not even 1 little cute tree will save it for -5 points.

Total: C+ set which is sad, even the tree is crying.

LEGO Juniors Race Car Rally Review for MF0

The Box
Picked this up AWHILE ago, mostly for the reusable container which now holds all my 2x4 bricks and bigger.
Presenting...Diesel Punk!

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Got a basic and simple Hi-Legs like frame but I rather like it but had to really shake the tree. +5 points.

Parts 1 - Been wanting to play with that Intake piece for awhile.
Parts 2 - These 1x4 mod plates with the 'pipe' angle extensions are interesting
Parts 3 - The worse things in this set.
Parts 4 - Some interesting looking things here
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$29.99 / 350 pieces = $0.09 per piece. Just under the ratio for +5 points!

Parts 5
Parts 6
Parts 7
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

There are some common parts here along with someones I think could be interesting to see used. +5 points.

The Pime Build from this Junior Set.
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Now I did get a frame out of this set which usually means this question usually is an auto yes BUT looking at the ratio of truly useful parts vs 'wall pieces' things start getting iffy. I think I am going to have to go with a -5 for this set.

Close look on the Trophy - Winner!!!
Total: We have a A- for this set but could be said A if you are looking to use the container to store your stuff! Honestly I am surprised we don't see a lot more builds using that intake/engine block piece! Has it been use in a frame chef? Does the hanger still do that?
