LEGO Bricktober Toys R Us Store Review for MF0

The Box
So here we are, the last of this years Bricktober sets. We have ourselves a Toys R Us store! How meta. Well, let's crack this open.

Stickers
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Well I couldn't get anything out of this set except for the set itself. Of course this set along with its sister sets can be used as is for smaller scale game or to make your 7p frames look bigger. 0 points.

Parts 1 - Plates and Bricks
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$19.99 / 165 parts = $0.12 per parts. Certainly above the ratio and the worse out of all of this year's Bricktober sets. -10 points

Parts 2 - More Plates
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

This set does have some useful parts for building frames or ships. +5 points.

Parts 3 - Plates...
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

but doesn't have enough useful parts for me to give it the green light here. -5 points.

The Set
Total: C+ set, the saddest one while the rest weren't too bad. Like that micro truck though.

LEGO Bricktober Bakery Review for MF0

This post is dedicated to Mantis King.

Here we have the 3rd Box for TRU's Bricktober. I like muffins and pumpkin pies.

The Builds - Warehouse Station and Frame
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Two in fact! A station of a warehouse or such and a frame! +5 points!

Parts 1

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$19.99 / 234 = $0.09 per part, that is under the ratio! +5 points!

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Yes it does. +5 points.

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Certain does when you build a Frame and a Station! +5 points

The Set
Total: OMG! We have an A+ Set from Bricktober! Of course we have another great building to put on the field if you want to make your frames look bigger!

LEGO Bricktober Train Station Review for MF0

The Box
Here we have the second set for 2015 Bricktober, 10/4-10/10. Let's get started!

A frame...on wheels!
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

As you can see I was able to build a decent frame out of this set; a frame that utilizes the Roller Skates. +5 Points. Also the set itself can be great on the battlefield.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$19.99 / 180 parts = $0.11 per part, just above the golden ratio. Thankfully I had a gift card and TRU bucks for this purchase. -10 points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

There is a selection of usable parts. +5 points.

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Sort of have to say yes given I built a frame but key word here is sort of. +5 points

The Set
Total: Despite the hit of going over the golden ratio we have a B+ set! It isn't my greatest frame built from this but I really like I used the skates in a frame build. I also like the set build itself to add to my battlefield but doesn't look has cool as the Hotel.

LEGO Bricktober Hotel Review for MF0

The Box
Here we have the first set for this year's (2015) Bricktober series of Toys R Us Exclusive LEGOs. This is for the first week of 9/27-10/3 but I am sure leftovers will still be on the shelves during the weeks of other sets or after Bricktober is over.

Sticker
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Honestly, I forgot to try and build a frame from this set. It creatures a gorgeous 4p scale hotel that will easily look nice on anyone's battlefield. Though given the part selection, I think you be hard press to get a frame out of it. 0 points.

Parts 1

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$19.99 / 204 = $0.10 which puts this set right at the golden ratio. 0 points.

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

There are a few useful parts that could be used in a build. +5 points

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

As expected it does not. -5 points.

The Set- There is a pool!
Total: B is is better then I was expecting and I think my first straight B! It isn't the greatest set for MF0 but I love it for being so small, pretty and detailed despite being small. I will be adding this to my terrain options.

LEGO Bricktober Theater Review for MF0

The Box
This is one of four of last years (2014) Bricktober sets that you could of gotten for free if you spend like $70 dollars. I picked this up while I was at RavenCon when I ran out to the near by Toys R Us to get some more parts for cover. They didn't have any of the others sadly because I would certainly have gone broke getting the entire set.

Scrap
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

Say Hello to this Diesel fueled Frame, Scrap! Sort of a Hi-Legs/Chub hybrid feel? Anyways, this awesome frame (I sort of love it, sad I have to take it apart) gets us +5 points. Also the set it self is a really nice building that could look good on the table. Talk about that more in Total.

Parts 1 - So many little parts!
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$19.99 / 164 parts = $0.12 per part, ouch! Your paying for buzz words here I think. -10 points!

Parts 2
If you can't build a creation right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Pretty much, yep. +5 points

The Set
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Over all I think I will have to say yes. +5 points

Certainly fits 4p scale better...
Total: A B+ set! I don't know why but I really like the 'POS' frame I built! This set though! Gorgeous and I am pretty sure I will at least be fielding the building on my table. Though at a glance I think it it will fit in but in really it more scaled four those that like 4p scale which the stack against our micro figure in hello is suppose to represent.
