LEGO Spider-man's Mini Spider Crawler 30451 Review for MF0

The Bag
Picked this up at Target in the Holiday section along with several others; behold LEGO posts from DCB! Is it still October? Who is haunting this once noble spaces? Alright let's get into the review.

Web Baller Frame

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I built this little quad frame, surprised this set didn't include the circle plate with bars but seems the good new padlocks make them a bit unneeded if designed right. +5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part

$3.99 / 73 = $0.05 per part! Very good deal indeed. +5 points

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

The shear number of padlocks at the price point make this set worth it but the parts do lean toward quad or other such frames then the classic humanoids though. +5 points.

The Minifig
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Another easy yes for +5 points.

The Build
Total: This is an easy A+ set just for the padlocks, the planned out build could easily become a frame itself with some other parts, almost a 'frame in a bag' but not quite there. Either way it be hard to pass up this set.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Milano 30449 Set Review for MF0

The Bag
This was a LEGO Store pay $30 get this free promo but a lot of those have become regular buy polybags so far this year so I am hoping this one follows that path too.

The Set
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

The set as is can be dropped right into IO and I think could serve as a Capital Ship! +5 points

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

I forgot to check the ESV in the legal so going to go with $3.99 unless I see something different in the future than will update it.

$3.99 / 64 = $0.06 so very under the ratio for +5 points!

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Yes, several good frame parts in this bag so +5 points!

Parts 3

Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Another quick and easy yes for +5 points!

Parts 4
Total: With my guessed value we have an A+ set and still have one if I did $4.99 honestly. Hopefully this makes it way as a general purchase for a bit; could be a fun entry set into Intercept Orbit.

LEGO Super Heroes Marvel Spider-Man vs. The Venom Symboite Set 30448 Review for MF0

The Bag
Picked this one up during the 2016 Holiday season from TRU, it was in some pretty small quantities.

The Frame
Can you build some sort of creation right away?

I made this simple but large foot printed quad walker. I really like it and as I usually do I would ignore the extremely large feet for measuring ranges etc. The top is more meant as rotating hard points then actual weapons. 5+ points for venom walker.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$3.99 / $0.08 per piece for under the ratio for +5 points for the Golden Ratio!

Parts 2
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Absolutely! Maybe use all the venom heads as fancy painted ammo cans? +5 points to Venom.

Parts 3
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

Despite my minimalist frame I will say yes for +5 points to minimalists.

The Set
Total: A+ set, sort of sad I am a bit late posting it. Wish I could have gotten my hands onto more.

LEGO Super Heroes Marvel Captain America's Motorcycle 30447 for MF0

The Bag
Picked this one up from TRU so I could have the Capt minifigure...

Can you build some sort of creation right away?

This was a total fail but I saw it coming. -5 points.

Parts 1
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.

$3.99 / $0.16 per piece, another one!!!! -10 points.

If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?

Despite being a few I am...I am saying no... -5 points.

The Set
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?

NO! -5 points...*cries*

Total: *sighs* Say hello to a C- set! Despite being a sad sack for Mobile Frame Zero it was a fun little set to put together and play around with.

Show Addict: Guardians of the Galaxy

Where to start?! Part of me just wants to write one sentence and click publish! So short version: if you are  a fan of the Marvel Studio movies in general then you will not be disappointed at all. This is a mastery of the craft that Marvel Studios had a natural talent for.

Use of the sound track, stunning visual and depth making it more then a blockbuster film. My partner and I are talking about seeing it again, and have already pre-ordered it to own. My final word: I cried at this Marvel movie; more then once so just go see it and cry with me.

I got nothing else to say...

Show Addict: Captain America: Winter Soldier Review

So it been awhile since I did one of these. No reason to dwell though, time to get started!

First I just want to start of and say that I LOVE Marvel Studios. So far everything they do is fantastic and this movie is no exception. It connects to other elements of the franchise along with back to its own past making it great.

Everyone does a great job and the movie has everything. Action, emotions, drama, espionage, twists that I think everyone will enjoy it. There is even subtle details in the movie that if you notice them makes you think about things outside the scope of Winter Soldier and about the movies at large or just the characters themselves.

So in short, the movie should have something for everyone so go see Captain America: Winter Soldier; Captain's Orders!

P.S. Sit through all the credits! You think some people would have learned by now. Give me more GotG!

LEGO Iron Man Drone Review for Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack

Sitting on this one a bit because I picked it up at a Flea Market but I have not seen it in any stores. So why now? What has change in the world to make me do this review? Well Toys R Us is having another one of their LEGO build events and during that weekend the Iron Man Drone will be a free poly bag with purchase that weekend. So, let's get started.

As usual we are  using the review system established by Mantis King (insert fanfare).

Can you build a frame, or frames, right away?
When I first got this set I would have said yes but now that I think about it and seen other sets I am more leaning toward no now. The drone would make a great drone for melee dice for a frame but it is not frame material on it own BUT I have half the mind to slap a pair of legs from a Hi-Leg onto that drone and use it!

So in short: No, -5.

Is it below, at, or above the golden ration?
Well as I said earlier I got this from a flee market for only $3.50 while the LEGO store has it for $4.99.
Bag contains 24 pieces so we do a little math and...
Flea Market price gets us $0.14 per piece so that is a clear above for a -10.
Store price gets us $0.20 per piece getting us even more above for another -10.
Mind you I love the buzz saw cutter pieces in this set and this is why I got them. They seem rare piece and so if your after them the hit might be worth it or you can try Bricklink. Oh wait, there it is right here. Looks like you can get them for 2 pennies each...oh this is awkward.

If you can't build a frame right away, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?
This is a clear yes but just very few pieces in the bag. So +5 points for House Stark.

Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?
This is borderline  specially with Stark/Iron Man being in the bag but I am going to say yes. Let's be honest though, if the previous question is a yes, it is hard for this one not to be one as well. +5 points!

So now for our results, drum roll please!
We have a -5 which grades this set at a B- and given the ratio if bought in store I be willing to call it a B. Though if you can get it for free, go for it.
